Sorcerer Travelers -- 201 -- Cara Mary, The Demon Sorceress?!
ZOMG!! An actual post in DarkRose Productions!!

Anyway, I only have pure silliness to post on the community. If anyone stumbles upon any good writing prompts, feel free to post them in an entry!

Today I bring to you:

Sorcerer Travelers -- 201 -- Cara Mary, The Demon Sorceress?!Collapse )

For anyone who is unfamiliar with work, I tend to write mini-series in a very linear script format. It's usually just for pure silliness and to see how many ideas I can bang out in story form in a short period of time. I also enjoy writing silly conversation pieces that usually can only be found in cartoons.

This is actually the second season of Sorcerer Travelers. The first season was written in my early High School years. The premise of this series was set up to be a very generic anime featuring friends and family members as a series of different sorcerers set in modern time. The scripting is supposed to be terrible on purpose, as to emulate poorly dubbed anime and insane plot points (Those crazy Japanese folk!!). The first season featured Cara (Maddy) and Morgan (Ryan) as the two lead sorcerers with the company of Nighstar (A talking magical panther), Melia (Mel Devane) and Vash The Stampede (But really just a cosplayer called 'Johnny'). Other people were featured in the series as well as miscellaneous characters. With the recent revival of Slayers (And our cosplay group for Anime Boston), I've decided to write a season 2 for Sorcerer Travelers. I intend on writing in characters for Haldan, Jackie and Jim to replace the previous season's line-up of allies. I will also make room for everyone else to have appearances as well. For the record, each character is supposed to have a name that is some sort variation of an alcoholic beverage.

Hope people enjoy!!

Until later (tips hat) Good day.

Current project (AND BECAUSE MADDY STRONGLY SUGGESTED THIS)
Ok, so here's my current project with my storyline, Attachment Theory.

I am working on something that could be considered a scrapbook in the making.  It's basically a mess of character sketches, biographies, short stories, mini comics, photographs, and much more.  Since I find it very difficult to even begin writing the story or working on the comic portion due to my lack of organization/extreme apprehension, I'm hoping that this well help alleviate many of the issues that I encounter and serve as a solid reference tool.

I will post a new character on the fifteenth of every other month (I'll have the first one posted by April 15th), finished or not.

Meme, anyone?
I had an idea that I thought would be fun to share with everyone.  I don't know if anyone wants to do a deadline or anything...maybe get a monthly meme-thing like this going on.  idk.

To some people, cell phones their lifelines.  A cellphone connects us to our loved ones.  They play our favorite music when our favorite person calls, can capture photographs, and can be decorated in an infinite amount of ways.  If we are ever in trouble away from home, they can save us.  Here's the plan:

1) Pick one of your original characters (it could even be a character that exists in a time prior to cellphones).

2) Decide what kind of cell phone they have.   Use these  questions as a guide:

*What model is it?  What service do they use?  In other words, is it simplistic or trendy?  What are the special     features (camera, text keyboard, etc)?  Example: A trendy teenager/young adult might have the latest T-Mobile     LG model every 3 months or so, but a drug dealer might have something like a pre-paid Tracfone.

*Is there anything the decorates their phone?  Such as charms, faceplates, or stickers?   What's the image on     their display screen ( Examples: a picture of a loved one, a puppy, or a Sports Illustrated bikini babe?)  What's     their ringtone?  Do they have different ringtones for different people?

*How big is their contact list?  Who is the person that they talk to the most?  Who is the person that they last         spoke to?  Is their cell phone mainly for business or personal use?

3) Write a short story where the phone is either the main focus or plays a significant role, draw what the phone looks like, or do whatever you want to represent your character through their cell phone.   Be sure to share by posting in the community when  you're done!

OH HULLO. I WROTE A THING.
Oh shit, it's the first ever real post in the DarkRose Productions community!

This story is a prologue to the GENO series that Ryan and I write. It's about two of the characters who later join up, Lance and Jenny.

This is actually not necessarily canon to GENO, or at least it isn't yet. It started out as a creative writing assignment for my fiction class. The assignment was to write a short story, max 15 pages double spaced. This story is 14 pages single spaced, 28 pages double spaced - AKA way longer than my professor wanted. The one I turned in for class was only 16 pages because I wanted to try to meet the limit. The result is that a lot of the story didn't make sense to anyone in my class. I have continually tried to rework it since then, but haven't been very successful. I think I have enough ideas about these two, and enough of a REAL love story worked out between them, that I could fill a whole book. It's just a matter of motivation and organization.

Basically I'm saying that this version of their story is missing huge aspects that I wanted to include. The process of re-writing it is ... more daunting than I thought it would be. Maybe some encouragement from you all would help. Or criticism, whatever.

One of the main things that will probably be changed ENTIRELY is the ending. All of the ending. So, if the ending pisses you off, don't worry, because it's going to be really different.

I have some other problems with this story as well, but I would much prefer to hear what you guys think before I start putting any bias in your head. So please read it, I know it's long, and thanks in advance for any help.
